Each week, dozens of car owners who have modified their automobiles to be sleek and fast gather together to show off their cars and occasionally race each other. They often meet behind in parking lots behind stores to avoid police attention. A sort of camaraderie forms between these enthusiasts, who share knowledge and admiration for each others’ rides. The locations of the meets constantly change and the participants are wary of outsiders.
